GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Under general supervision, designs, develops, maintains, and produces a variety of multimedia, graphics, animation, and audio and video production to support clients in performing a variety of technical duties involved in operating and maintaining data processing and video equipment used in the Part-time position for video production and multi-media functions in the Multi-Media Department / ECTV
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Video Record Programming using HD Cameras DSLRs and Standard Cameras
Edit Programming using HD Workflow both digitizing and output (Final Cut Pro)
provide and Set up Live Internet broadcasting when necessary
Produce graphics for video using Photoshop Creative Suite
Create 1920 x 1080p Graphic Slides for Broadcast/Web Distribution
Create Online video content for use on EastChicago.com / Facebook / YouTube / Twitter / TikTok
Export Video in a variety of formats
Maintain various ECTVNEWS social network pages
Color correcting video for broadcast safe FCC regulations
Maintain a programmed playlist on Channel 21
Provide video content for public request forms
Audio Production (Voice Over, Music Composition,)
Digital SLR Photography using Canon and Sony cameras
Photo Editing with Photoshop. (Color Correction/ Special Effects/ Composition)
Setup and conduct video interviews for broadcast
Setup 3- Point Lighting for in-studio interviews
Greenscreen Video Recording using Final Cut Pro.
Video record events, meetings & concerts
Setup Audio for video shoots (Wired/Wireless Lavalier Microphone, Dynamic Microphones, Boom microphone)
Setup PA sound system and Digital Projector for various city events
Maintain video archive using external hard drive and YouTube
Create a motion graphic video intros/outros
Create lower thirds/backgrounds for video content using both Photoshop
Promote and distribute all event materials and newsletters
Maintain a YouTube archive of all videos produced by the Multimedia Division
Maintain Photo Archive Hard drive
Maintenance of Comcast/AT&T broadcast equipment (Switchers/ Distribution units)
Produce and Create Fliers for various City Activities (PhotoShop/Illustrator)
Knowledge of web-based applications preferred
Knowledge of Mac-based computers and Windows
Sign Production experience preferred
Strong writing and proofreading skills
Design flyers and material for marketing city events
Update the city website and assist departments with their pages
Drone experience recommended
Perform other duties as directed.

Operate a variety of highly technical computers, multi-media, and peripheral equipment. Respond to requests and inquiries from city departments.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Education
Equivalent to the completion of two years of college-level coursework in multimedia/digital communication, mass media communications, marketing, public relations, or computer technology. Any combination of education and training which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities as described. Advanced coursework in multimedia, graphic design, and Web design is desirable.
Experience
Two years of experience in computer technology and media technology.
Computer Proficiency
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Master Collection / Video Production software, and Internet research.
REQUIRED LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS
Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT
The conditions herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job.
Environment - Work is performed in a busy standard office or clinic environment, working with the general public. The work schedule may require some evening and weekend work.
Physical – Primary functions require sufficient ability and mobility to work in a fast-paced office setting; to stand, walk, or sit for prolonged periods; to occasionally stoop, bend kneel, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office requires repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; ability to drive; to operate multimedia equipment; and to verbally communicate to exchange information. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Vocal – Vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas using spoken words and conveying detailed or important instructions to others accurately, loudly, or quickly.
Vision – See in normal visual range with or without correction.
Hearing: Hear in normal audio range with or without correction.
PORTFOLIO REQUIREMENTS
Must provide a portfolio of edited works or links/websites to sample work.
