Apply now to join this fun team! WETM - TV in Elmira, New York has an immediate opening for a Local/National Administrative Assistant for our Sales Department. The Local/National Administrative Assistant will assist with the day-to-day operations of the WETM-TV sales department. We will provide the necessary training for the right individual. This is a full-time position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs all clerical functions for the Sales Department
- Maintains awareness of the most current traffic policies, practices and procedures.
- Enters order, traffic and accounting data using computers, ledgers, orders and other resources.
- Corresponds with customers and confers with coworkers to answer inquiries and resolve account problems.
- Prepares forms and reports
- Monitors inventory
- Maintains files and other business records.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Skills:
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Prefer one year's experience in clerical support or administrative assistance, preferably in the sales or media fields
- Organized to efficiently perform all aspects of the job
- Highly motivated team player that works well with people
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Perform consistently and effectively under daily deadlines
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
The Administrative Assistant must be able to sit, conduct telephone conversations, use electronic mail, write letters and memos, conduct face-to face discussions with individuals or groups, make decisions without supervision, make decisions that impact the results of co-workers, and work indoors in environmentally controlled conditions.
