GENERAL FUNCTION:
C-SPAN is seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Multimedia Content Creator to assist with content development and production for our organization. The ideal candidate must possess exceptional graphic design and video editing skills. As the Multimedia Content Creator, you will be responsible for crafting and curating top-quality, captivating, and informative content that resonates with our target audience, including video packages, graphic design elements for television, digital (social media and web), and marketing campaigns.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develops and executes content across various platforms, including C-SPAN's public affairs television networks, social media, website, streaming and mobile apps.
- Creates video packages for promotion, corporate, original content and/or social media with a strong eye for script writing, locating broll and editing in Adobe.
- Creates promotional videos for posts and stories on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.

Creates static and motion graphics for TV, digital and print.

Works closely with Creative Services Manager in the ideation, creation and execution of various deliverables.
- Works with the Marketing department to design collateral such as print ads, web banners, press kits, newsletters, billboards, flyers and sponsor branding.
- Manages project calendars and workflows, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality content.

Stays up-to-date with industry trends, best practices and emerging technologies in content production and distribution.
BACKGROUND/SKILLS:
- High level of skill in Adobe Creative Cloud with strong knowledge of Premier, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects and InDesign.
- Designing vector-based assets in Illustrator, Flash, Director, Quark and some HTML experience is also required.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the desire to work within a creative and highly collaborative team environment.

Ability to manage large volumes of content and archival items.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet long and short-term deadlines.
- Present creative work at various stages for review, feedback and approval.

Strong news judgment with a focus on the federal government, national politics, non-fiction books and American history.

Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, marketing, design or a related field.

Knowledge OF Canva, Mondays.com, Teams, Microsoft Office, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Twitter.
- Minimum two years of related professional work experience.

Excellent writing, editing and storytelling skills, with a keen eye for accuracy and detail.

A strong portfolio of previous work, showcasing video producing, editing and graphic design elements.
- Must be willing to work a hybrid schedule which includes working on-site at our Washington DC office.
