Minimum Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, broadcasting, communications or related field and five (5) years of experience originating, developing, writing, and producing programs for local/regional/national audiences essential; equivalent education/experience considered. Strong interpersonal skills necessary. Ability to seek and secure program funding through grants and/or underwriting. Ability to lead and supervise professional staff. Skill in television production, multi-camera directing, copywriting and editing, knowledge of current events, computer literacy. Strong writing and original story-telling skills. Ability to direct live multi-camera studio and remote telecasts.
Preferred Qualifications
Budgeting experience, production experience or knowledge in sports and or cultural affairs, and/or science production, teaching experience, supervisory experience preferred. Hands-on nonlinear editing skills, with additional skills as a single camera videographer.
