Job Description
As a Chat Producer for Today with Hoda & Jenna, you will be responsible for pitching, developing, writing and producing all supporting elements for the Chat portion of the show.
Responsibilities:
Pitch original ideas and stories that the talent can relate to and have meaningful conversations around
Develop original, recurring franchises that can be featured on the show on a regular basis
Produce fully concepted chats on a daily basis and as necessary for any taped shows
Stay ahead of current trends and pop culture moments to ensure that our show is first to feature
Work with Standards & Legal Team to ensure Editorial Standards of all segments
Qualifications
Must have 3+ years of experience as chat producer or overseeing top of show segment
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience
Must be able handle all visual elements to support subject matter
Willing to work Sundays-Thursdays in the office
Strong journalistic writing and research skills, as well as editorial judgment
Ability to work overtime, nights, holidays, and weekends, often with short notice
Must be "on-call" 24 hours a day / 7 days a week
Desired Qualifications:
Demonstrated strong knowledge and interest in pop culture and current events
Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments
A self-starter with strong interpersonal skills, including with talent management Knowledge of NBC News Policies and Guidelines and Practices
Strong storytelling ability Familiarity with social media
Additional Responsibilities:
Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

Salary range: $90,000 - $135,000
