Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Editor to support the Master Resilience Training Program and additional support to the Directorate of Prevention, Resilience, and Readiness (DPRR) programs.
Responsibilities:
Essential Job Functions:

Shall collaborate clearly with personnel during the curriculum development process, ensuring that all written training and education material developed follows English writing and Army standards.
- Ensures that written material clearly communicates ideas to target audiences; that content agrees with applicable orders, directives, guidance, and source documents; does not violate copyright law; and that document properties support electronic publication.
- Provides expertise in print and digital publication of training and education material.

Shall support the production of briefs, articles, information products, and material communicated to Army and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

Strong editing skills, with proficiency in grammar, punctuation, and syntax, and the ability to edit for clarity, coherence, and consistency.

Possess a thorough knowledge of the Army organizational structure, mission objectives, function, procedures, regulations, and policy pertaining to the Department of the Army.

Shall speak, read, and comprehend English to the extent that they can read and understand printed regulations, written orders, operating procedures, training instructions and materials, and perform the duties assigned.

Must have a professional appearance that is appropriate for their position and adhere to facility dress codes. Contractor employees shall conduct themselves in a professional, efficient, and courteous manner.

Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and experience with database management software.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with employees at all levels of the organization.
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in journalism, communications, English, or a related field.

At least 5 years of experience editing learning material and 5 years’ experience working with the military as a military member, civilian, or contractor.

Ability to pass a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) (Tier 1) background investigation.

Must be a US citizen.
Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of Army writing standards and regulations, including Army Regulation 25-50 and the Army Writing Style Guide.

Experience with curriculum development processes, instructional design methodologies, and learning management systems is a plus
The pay range for this position is $72,546 - $89,546 annually.
