The Bell Media team creates and delivers the best Canadian and international content across our digital media, television, radio, and out-of-home advertising platforms. We’re looking for innovative team players ready to take some of the most well-known entertainment brands in the country to the next level.
- Originate, research, write, interview, shoot, edit and produce original news stories and elements for broadcast and digital platforms;
- Set up and operate live equipment as required;
- Adhere to editorial standards and guidelines regarding accuracy, ethics and legal issues;
- Assure equipment and mobile are in good working order;
- Other duties as assigned.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in broadcast journalism;
- Proven background in news reporting and abilities to perform on camera;
- Strong writing, storytelling and knowledge of local news and current affairs;
- Excellent writing and strong presentation skills;
- Knowledge of social networks and audience engagement, an asset;
- Proven abilities in camera and editing;
- Proven organizational skills and ability to work independently under tight deadlines;
- Sound editorial judgment, proven ability to produce original and enterprise reporting;
- Ability to deal with new and emerging technology;
- Journalism degree, Video Journalist experience, computer literacy and knowledge of iNews, an asset;
- Valid driver’s license and good record.
