Job Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Computer Science and Multimedia Teacher to join our high school faculty. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in computer science and multimedia, with the ability to inspire students and cultivate their interest in these fields. This role involves teaching a variety of courses related to computer science, coding, multimedia production, and digital literacy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging curriculum for computer science and multimedia courses, including programming, web development, graphic design, video production, and digital media.
- Teach students to use various programming languages (such as Python, JavaScript, Java) and multimedia tools (such as Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, Blender).
- Guide students in creating multimedia projects, including websites, apps, videos, animations, and digital art.
- Foster a classroom environment that promotes creativity, collaboration, problem-solving, and critical thinking.
- Stay current with advancements in technology and multimedia to continuously improve the curriculum.
- Collaborate with other faculty members to integrate technology and multimedia into other subject areas.
- Manage and maintain computer labs and multimedia equipment.
- Participate in extracurricular activities and clubs related to computer science and multimedia.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to support student learning and development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Multimedia, Technology Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Teaching certification in Computer Science, Technology Education, or a related area.
- Proven experience in computer science education and multimedia production.
- Strong knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Java) and multimedia tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, Blender).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage and motivate high school students.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with the latest educational technologies and multimedia trends.
