JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Media Intern will assist the Media team in supporting the daily operations of the Audio, Visual, Lighting, Photography, and Social Media Departments. This role offers hands-on experience in various aspects of media production, digital marketing, and content creation, providing an opportunity to develop skills in a dynamic and creative environment.
Key Learning Objectives that should be acquired by the end of the internship:
- Media Operations Support:
- Understand the daily operations of Audio, Visual, Lighting, and Photography teams within a church setting.
- Develop skills in implementing and maintaining quality control measures across various media and communications platforms.
- Content Creation and Management:
- Acquire the ability to write compelling scripts for media content that effectively convey the church's messages and resonate with the audience.
- Develop skills in creating concise, engaging narratives for videos, posts, and other digital media formats to enhance community engagement and outreach.
- Digital Marketing and Social Media:
- Gain knowledge and skills in managing and optimizing online advertising campaigns using platforms like Google Ads.
- Learn strategies for driving targeted traffic to the church website and achieving predefined campaign objectives.
- Develop proficiency in analyzing campaign performance metrics and making strategic recommendations to improve effectiveness and reach.
- Collaboration and Teamwork:
- Develop skills to collaborate effectively with various departments to create cohesive communication strategies.
- Stay updated with industry trends in media and communications to ensure the church's efforts remain relevant and impactful.
- Administrative and Operational Support:
- Gain experience in assisting with strategic initiatives that generate positive marketing impact while managing costs.
- Learn to monitor and analyze communication trends, updating methods, processes, and tools accordingly.
- Develop skills in monitoring, reporting, and measuring the performance of communication campaigns to ensure effectiveness and alignment with objectives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Support the day-to-day communications and media work products, including social media, digital marketing, graphics, radio and audio production, videography, photography, and TV production.

EXPIERENCE AND EDUCATION:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Media, Marketing, or a related field.
- Some experience in media production, digital marketing, or a related field is preferred but not required.
PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to tolerate extended periods of sitting or standing.
- Ability to operate a computer and peripheral digital devices.
- On an irregular basis, the ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
- This position may require occasional local travel.
