WPSU-FM is looking for an engaging, reliable, and professional part-time host for the Morning Edition radio news show on WPSU.

They will occasionally need to quickly rewrite press releases or newspaper stories into radio-friendly copy. The Morning Edition host provides an intelligent, professional, and friendly personification of WPSU’s brand in central Pennsylvania.
The host will work 5:30-9:30 a.m. Monday-Friday. They will also spend about half an hour either in the morning or the night before doing show preparation. Pay is $20/hour.
Desired Qualifications – Radio hosting experience, ideally public radio; engaging on-air presence; experience running broadcast boards; a basic understanding of journalism; strong writing skills; audio editing experience; and experience with radio automation software. Even if you do not meet every requirement, we still encourage you to apply.
With your application, please include a resume, cover letter and a couple of hosting and/or newscast examples. Contact Emily Reddy at ereddy@psu.edu with questions.
