JOB DESCRIPTION: Marketing & Content Coordinator
Reports to: Marketing & Communications Manager
Status: Full Time, Salary, Exempt
Position Summary:
The role requires the person to perform as a key member of the development staff and development related committees with duties essential to helping the organization fulfill its $3M annual budget. Good Sam is looking for a Marketing & Content Coordinator to support the development team in raising awareness and funds. We are a non-profit organization serving individuals and families experiencing or at risk of homelessness in Lancaster and Chester counties. This new full-time position includes event promotion and marketing, online and print content creation, general social media and website support, and scheduling assistance.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support marketing campaign planning and execution.
- Write copy for social media posts, promotional emails, and other marketing collateral.
- Assist in creating written, video, and image content for marketing channels.
- Work with outside contractors and vendors for content creation.
- Provide marketing/promo for all events.
- Participate in marketing brainstorming sessions.
- Assist in the management of website.
- Measure and report the results of marketing initiatives.
The successful candidate will:
Event Promotion:
- Increase ticket sales and sponsorships.
- Attract new audiences.
- Attend events and capture content for future and in the moment post.
- Utilize targeted paid ads to raise awareness.
Educational Content Creation (Explaining the Why):
- Write 2 blog posts/month.
- Blog content will be used in social media, newsletter, and e-new.
General Communications:
- Assist in creating bi-monthly newsletter, including contacting donors/volunteers for content.
- Assist in creating annual report and annual appeal.
- Assist with promotional content for campaigns.
Social Media Support:
- Schedule 2 posts/week on all social media platforms.
- Post on stories 3x/week.
- Communicate how Good Sam is unique and how people can get involved.
- Engage with our posts and other posts.
Website Support:
- Keep staff page up to date, including scheduling photos.
- Upload new content.
- Work with contractor for website fixes.

- Collaborate effectively with participants, staff, contractors, volunteers, donors, partners, etc.
Marketing and Content Coordinator Qualifications / Skills:
- Applied understanding of basic marketing principles.
- Familiarity with marketing for major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc.)
- Creative problem-solving skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to create innovative new ideas.
- Comfortable with multitasking in a deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to remain flexible in a role that is new for the organization.
- Basic understanding of website management.
- Understanding of SEO techniques and best practices.
- Basic photography, image and video editing, and graphic design skills.
- Ability to research and identify new media outlets and opportunities.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or currently working towards a bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
- Successful completion of introductory courses in marketing, business, or equivalent.
- Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
- Previous experience with the use of Canva and other design platforms.
Hours & Benefits:
- Full-time. Occasional weekends and evenings will be required to capture content as necessary.

Primary Work Location: Chester County
License/Certification: Driver's License (Required)
Ability to Commute: Regular travel required to Good Sam’s Chester County Locations (Coatesville, Phoenixville, Kennett Square). Occasional travel is also required to Good Sam's Lancaster County locations required (Ephrata and Lancaster City).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $41,000.00 - $44,000.00 per year
