Graphic Designer and Creative Content Manager
We are a growing, family owned, multi-channel retailer operating in a B2B and B2C environment assisting schools and nonprofit organizations. We are seeking a creative resource who is a skilled graphic designer with production experience.
This position requires strong graphic design abilities and strong time management skills. We need someone that can do more than take design instructions and execute them, we need a creative leader who understands our audiences, our goals for them, and can craft the right message and visual tone to achieve our objectives within a timely manner. You will need to be able work in a busy, deadline-driven environment with multiple internal clients and be receptive to constructive feedback on your work. Please note that this position is onsite and we are located in Walterboro, SC. Please only apply for position if you are able to commute to Walterboro, SC. Remote work is not available.
Responsibilities
- Conceptualizing: building brand elements, visual themes, and persuasive cohesive messages.
- Branding: setting the visual tone; creating unique, aesthetic elements that can translate across different web and printed media as well as the ability to create icons, logos, and vector art elements.
- Print media: With branding guidelines in mind, create catalogs, flyers, brochures, direct mail pieces, promotional material, and packaging design.
- Online Media: Execute promotional banners, update our website’s content, design web page layouts and email designs.
- Product Development: Assist in creating new design product (many of our products are graphical products designed in-house)
- Production Art: Applying artwork to an array of packing designs and assisting some end-user customers with personalized product designs.
- File Management: Meticulous attention to asset management and maintenance of all product images.
- Website Maintenance: Building web-ready images for new personalizable products and programming products to function with our client proofing and ordering system
- Automation and Workflow: Assist in building new production-ready print files and best utilizing our print and rip software to maximize efficiency and minimize product waste and production errors.
Required Skills
- Adobe Creative Suite- with advanced knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Experience with retail, print catalog, affiliate marketing and ecommerce.
- Product photography and photo manipulation
- Illustration, drawing and conceptual skills
- Strong communication, writing, and editing skills.
- Video content development & editing
