The Communications Fellow is responsible for providing assistance to the Communications Team and supporting digital and social media, traditional media relations, and donor communications.
- Support communication initiatives and collaborate with various teams throughout the Goldwater Institute
- Assist in the creation of social media content, including planning, writing, graphic design, and scheduling on channels including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube
- Assist in managing Goldwater’s website, blog, and email platforms, including updating and posting content in support of the Digital Communications Associate
- Assist in creating and maintaining media lists and booking media appearances in support of Senior Communications Manager
- Write blog posts, media pitches, and donor-related communications
- Conduct communications and policy-related research
- Assist at Goldwater events throughout the Phoenix area and provide on-site support for Communications-related activities in the Goldwater Institute headquarters
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
- Desire to learn and grow in a communication role
- Strong organizational skills and ability to adapt quickly
