About the Role & Program
Disney Entertainment Television is a collection of world-class content brands at The Walt Disney Company crafting original entertainment and news programming for the company’s streaming platforms Disney+, Hulu and Star, and its broadcast and cable networks. Its extensive portfolio is comprised of ABC Entertainment, ABC News, ABC Owned Television Stations, Disney Branded Television, Freeform, FX, Hulu Originals, National Geographic Content and Onyx Collective, in addition to Disney Television Studios, which include 20th Television, 20th Television Animation, ABC Signature and Walt Disney Television Alternative. Responsible for over 4,500 hours of programming a year across more than 300 programs of all genres, Disney Entertainment Television’s creative brands are at the forefront of groundbreaking storytelling, captivating audiences and generating critical acclaim. In 2023, Disney Entertainment Television’s programming excellence earned 163 Emmy® nominations across daytime, primetime, news & documentary, and children’s & family categories.
The Twentieth Television Business Affairs Department negotiates deals and drafts agreements for above-the-line talent (producers, writers, directors, actors and casting directors) and underlying rights for scripted, live-action television programs that Twentieth Television produces for a wide variety of platforms (broadcast, cable and streaming). The Department also provides support for the series, and other departments within the studio (e.g. development, production, finance, legal), and is involved in other ancillary activities. If selected for this role, you will report to the SVP Business Affairs.
What You Will Do
As an intern, you’ll be involved in a variety of exciting projects that will challenge and develop your skills.
Coordinate and maintain internal database because we love keeping things organized and efficient
Create and updating charts to track the status of agreements
Collaborate with talent representatives and responding to their input on deal memos and short form agreements
Required Qualifications & Skills
We’re seeking highly motivated individuals with a genuine curiosity about entertainment law, negotiation theory, and the television business.
A strong curiosity about entertainment law, the television business, and/or negotiation theory/strategy (relevant coursework is a bonus)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and OneNote
Outstanding organizational and communication skills are key to thrive in our fast-paced environment
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines under pressure
Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively as a part of a team
A detailed-oriented approach, even when processing a large volume of documents

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must possess unrestricted work authorization
Position is located in Los Angeles, CA
Additional Information
The approximate dates of this internship are May/June 2024 through January 2025
Able to work 40 hrs per week, Monday through Friday, 9am - 6pm PST
Must have reliable transportation to/from work
