Overview:
We are seeking a talented and passionate Sports Writer to join our team. As a Sports Writer, you will have the opportunity to cover various sports events, write engaging articles, and contribute to our online platforms. This is an exciting role for someone who is knowledgeable about sports and has a strong passion for storytelling.

Responsibilities:
- Research and gather information on sports events, teams, and athletes
- Write compelling articles and stories about sports events, news, and trends
- Conduct interviews with athletes, coaches, and other relevant individuals
- Fact check information and ensure accuracy in all written content
- Collaborate with the editorial team to brainstorm ideas and develop content strategies
- Edit and proofread articles for clarity, grammar, and style
- Manage social media platforms to promote sports-related content
- Stay up-to-date with current sports news and trends

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is preferred, not required.
- Proven experience as a Sports Writer or similar role
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce engaging and informative content
- Strong knowledge of various sports and understanding of game rules and strategies
- Ability to conduct thorough research and fact-check information
- Proficiency in copywriting, copy editing, and proofreading
- Familiarity with social media management for content promotion
- Basic photography skills for capturing sports-related images is a plus
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members
