About NACM:
The National Association of Credit Management (NACM) is a leading organization in the business-to-business credit industry, dedicated to providing valuable insights, resources, and support to credit professionals. We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Editorial Associate to join our Communications team. This role is crucial in creating and managing content that informs and engages our audience.

Position Overview:
The Editorial Associate will be responsible for researching, writing, editing, and publishing a variety of content for our publications and digital platforms. This includes news stories, blog posts, podcasts, and magazine articles. The ideal candidate will have strong writing skills, a passion to learn new things, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

a. Content Creation and Management:

· Research and write news stories, blog posts, and magazine articles on topics including economics, leadership, automation, metrics, and more.

· Develop content for the weekly eNews, including two stories per week and a blurb summarizing each story.

· Write Week in Review stories focusing on international news.

· Create Business Credit Magazine articles, with selected topics and feature stories on a monthly basis.

· Produce blog posts spotlighting NACM members.

b. Editorial process

· Conduct interviews with NACM members and subject matter experts to learn more about assigned topics.

· Research assigned topics to create a clear and educational article.

· Edit and review content collaboratively with the team before publication.

· Attend weekly editorial meetings to discuss content plans and progress.

· Other relevant tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or a related field.
1+ years of experience in writing, editing, or journalism. Recent college graduates are encouraged to apply.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong research skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
Experience with podcast production and audio editing is a plus.
Knowledge of B2B credit is NOT required, but is a plus.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Creative thinking and a proactive approach to content creation and problem-solving.
Strong interview skills.
