Job Description

The ASCAP ASPIRE Internship Program is designed to provide students enrolled in historically black colleges and universities with a unique opportunity to gain experience working in the music industry through a paid internship. Selected interns can expect ASCAP to:

Provide each program participant with the opportunity to work to deliver on ASCAP’s mission in a department at ASCAP.

Provide each program participant an opportunity to gain a broad understanding of how ASCAP is structured and how it operates as a mission-based organization.

ASCAP ASPIRE Interns will be assigned to one of the following departments:

Marketing & Communications/Events Production
Membership (Film & TV, R&S/Urban, Country, Pop/Rock, Symphonic/Concert and Latin)
Data Strategy
International Affairs
Finance
Licensing
Global Technology Solutions

Requirements:

An ASCAP ASPIRE intern is:

a student currently enrolled and in good standing at an HBCU – rising sophomores, juniors and seniors and all majors are welcome;
authorized to work in the United States;
able to work 35 hours per week; and
someone with a passion for music and supporting artists.
